Originated in the early 19th century as after-dinner treats, breath fresheners, and digestive aids. Originally, these small, hard-shelled candies were used by apothecaries to mask the taste of medicines, becoming popular staples in the UK by the late 1800s.

Sugar, Dextrose, Stabiliser (Acacia Gum), Peppermint Oil.
