Joris, founded in Belgium nearly 100 years ago by Joris Van den Driessche, is one of the few confectioners still using real acacia gum, prized for its low stickiness, easy melt-in-the-mouth texture, and low calories. Their hard gums are air-dried for a week and then steam‑washed to achieve a natural shine without animal-derived coatings, making Joris the only European sweet maker to maintain this traditional method.
Ingredients:
Hard gums thickener: natural acacia gum arabic, sugar, cornsyrup, black gums: natural liquorice, Brown cough drops: natural flavours no colours Soft Gums: gelling agents: glucose syrup, salmiak salt (ammonium chloride), natural aromas, liquorice, colouring (carbo medicinalis vegetabilis), glazing agent (steam) or officinal paraffin. Citric or tartric acid.
