Originally known as chocolate nonpareils, these treats were far less colourful than the Jazzies we know today, featuring a chocolate base topped with pearly white sugar sprinkles known as "love pearls". Over time, the sweet evolved into the vibrant favourite enjoyed today and became known by a variety of regional names across the UK, including Jazzles, Snowies, Jazz Drops, Freckles, Yummies, Chocolate Freckles, and Jimmies.
