A classic retro sweet shop favourite that packs a proper tangy punch! These bright yellow hard-boiled sweets burst with sharp, zesty lemon flavour before revealing a fizzy sherbet centre that tingles delightfully on your tongue. Sweet, sour, and satisfyingly sparkly — they’re impossible not to love.
Sherbet Lemons rose to popularity in the 1920s and 30s, although fizzy sherbet powders date back to the early 19th century. They quickly became a staple of traditional British sweet shops, celebrated for their bold citrus kick — and are even famously known as Albus Dumbledore’s favourite sweet in Harry Potter.
Ingredients:
sugar, glucose syrup, vegetable fat (palm oil), acids; citric acid, malic acid; sodium bicarbonate, lemon oil, colour: E102.
